How do we contribute to a healthy future for anthroposophy in the world?
a live presentation and conversation with Marjatta van Boeschoten
The next Something Else Studio event will be on 5th October 2024 featuring a live video session with Marjatta van Boeschoten, General Secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain, London, UK.

In this session Marjatta will respond to questions about topics including addressing division and finding healing, addressing historical challenges, developing tolerance and tactfulness.
These questions were raised at our meeting on 7 September after hearing about Marjatta’s research regarding Rudolf Steiner’s intentions for the anthroposophical movement and society towards the end of his life and how she and her colleagues have applied these notions in their context in the UK, and at Rudolf Steiner House in London. Marjatta will also share more about her own life and experience.
You are welcome to come along to this session even if you weren’t able to attend the September event. Come and participate in the exploration and enjoy conversation and sharing over afternoon tea.

Marjatta was a Steiner Waldorf pupil and after graduating from law, practiced as a lawyer for seven years. After having two children, she started a new career as a management development consultant based on the social development impulse of Bernard Lievegoed. She founded a consultancy working predominantly with large national and international companies, UK government departments, and the IAEA at the United Nations in Vienna. Marjatta was on the Board of Triodos Bank NL and part of the Goetheanum Meditation Initiative and is now the General Secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain and a member of the Extended Executive Board at the Goetheanum.
Marjatta says, “Inner development and anthroposophical meditation have become essential sources of nourishment to sustain me in a very active, world-orientated life. Along the way I have been fortunate to work with Arthur Zajonc and others whose insights have helped and encouraged me to work with the challenges of developing an inner path. I now hold talks and workshops to explore the joys and challenges of inner work and describe ways to deepen and sustain individual practice.
“For many years I worked with leaders to help them develop their capacities and skills and am convinced of the central importance of an inner practice to develop wakefulness, poise and vision that can lead to beneficial and inspired action.”
